My computer does not detect my scanner

My computer does not detect my scanner. What can I do to resolve the issue?

1. 1. Power off the scanner.
   2. Remove USB cable from either the device or the computer.
   3. Restart your computer, log in.
   4. Once you see the desktop, reconnect the scanner cable.
   5. Try to scan from the built-in scan utility (to bypass the scan program)
      • a. Control Panel >> Devices and Printers
      • b. Select the scanner (if detected)
